POSITION DESCRIPTION

Actively manage the company’s China supplier development process including all SD actions and development tools within the company’s supply chain partner network in close cooperation with the Category Directors/Managers and Sourcing Directors/Managers, in accordance with set quality/delivery processes and procedures to reach disturbance free production at supplier partners in China

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Industry: Marine (CMH division)

Reports to: Global Sourcing VP

Drive and lead set Supplier Development processes, strategies and team to achieve assigned business plan and project targets, by developing, establishing and rolling out set strategies to drive supplier quality and delivery performance within the region in close cooperation with the Category Directors/Managers and Sourcing Directors/Managers

Implement and maintain Supplier quality procedures & standards

Manage process for supplier evaluation and supplier audits

Manage QCDI targets in consistency with the company’s needs

To implement and use the company’s supplier development processes & tools

Coordinate and manage supplier quality/delivery issues from pre-production, (serial) production and market.

Manage and coordinate /maintaining:

all SD aspects of new parts introduction and change control

actions to develop suppliers to meet quality and delivery performance of supplied material

supplier status on escalated suppliers

Health and Safety Responsibilities

Responsible for securing own and co-workers’ safety and health with all possible means.

Description of subordinate / function responsibilities if applicable.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Master degree, ideally in a technical discipline (mechanical, design, automation, etc…). Preferably with a good experience in production manager tasks in offshore and/or marine industry

Fluent English and Chinese skills

Experience

Good experience in production manager tasks in offshore and/or marine industry

Minimum 5 year’s professional experience of quality management and production systems

Product Development within Sourcing is required with Supply Chain experience background is a plus

Competencies

Strong Production-, Manufacturing-, Quality system-, Project management and negotiation skills

Fluent English and Chinese communication skills

Proven ability to work effectively in matrix organization and ability to manage and influence others

Good negotiation skills and willingness to travel are needed to perform well
