Some of their major businesses include the trading and distribution of agricultural commodities, manufacturing and sale of livestock and feed, trading in energy, steel and transport, and the production of food ingredients. They also provide risk management and financial solutions to both their customers and their own businesses in the markets of oil, gas, energy and resources. The Company has a specialized division which lucidly manages global commodity supply chains for its customers. It offers a unique combination of physical and financial expertise to develop solutions in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, natural resources such as coal, ferrous and base metals, and ocean freight markets. Due to an expansion of the Singapore operations of this division, they are seeking a professional with experienced in quantitative analysis and ideally structuring products for iron ore and steel, for the following role.

Purpose:
The Quantitative-Structured Products Analyst reports to the Metals Derivatives Trading Manager and will be responsible for the quantitative analysis required for the Derivative Team Options and Relative Value Trading books. In addition he/she will also be expected to have experienced in Structuring products for the Iron Ore and Steel Trading teams. This will extend to Structuring, Evaluating, and although marketing will be focused through an established sales team, it will likely involve clear deal explanation to ensure customer fully understands the products. This position will likely lead to trading roles in Options and/or cross product Relative Value, should the candidate exhibit the right potential.

Qualification:
•    Bachelors/Masters Degree in Quantitative discipline e.g. Financial Engineering
•    Post tertiary qualification in relevant quantitative discipline would be advantageous

Experience & Technical Competencies:
•    Significant years of experience working in a Quantitative Analysis role and/or Structuring role, with a proven track record
•    Advanced knowledge of computer and programming skills
o    VBA, C++/C or Java is required
o    R and/or Matlab would be highly desirable
o    SQL would be advantageous

Languages:
•    Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
