Job Description

Our client is a global European leading manufacturer of precision tools for the metalworking industry. They started their business in the early 1900s and have created some of the world’s pioneer technologies for grinding machines. They have presence of manufacturing facilities in Europe, North & South America, and Asia, over 30 sales offices and many distributing partners on a global basis, supplying an extensive range of products and services. They have a vast range of products in the areas of milling, drilling, turning and threading, & services for planning, production & logistics, maintenance, just to name a few. Automotives & engines, railways, mining, energy, transportation are some of the industries which they provide their products & services to. Due to strategic plans for business efficiency in Asia Pacific, they are inviting a Thai speaking executive level professional with experience in managing business, PnL and knowledge of cutting tools/machine tooling industry to join them in their Thailand office for the following opportunity.

Purpose:

The Managing Director is responsible to fulfil the company directives including sales, sales administration, marketing, engineering, finance, personnel and organization. Hence it would be his/her duties to coordinate his/her individual management with the Company Group, peform responsibilities according to the annually determined plan, and deliver sales budgeted.


Qualification:

•Bachelor/Master in Mechanical/Electronic/Manufacturing Engineering or Business Management/Business Administration and/or other relevant discipline


Experience & Technical Competencies:

•Significant extensive experience & understanding of the cutting tool industry or related industry, preferable in a global company
•Significant directorial/senior managerial experience
•Extensive relevant business management experience, prior/present PnL ownership responsibilities with existing network/contacts in the cutting tool industry
•Strong knowledge in business, management principles & practice, personnel leadership
•Prior working experience from application of cutting tools as Technician/Engineer or other similar functions would be advantageous

Languages:

•Proficiency in both written & verbal English and fluent Thai speaking
