POSITION DESCRIPTION

To define and execute the Premix Production Plan (to produce the agreed quantity of product, at the required time, within SHE requirements and other relevant guidelines) and to direct and lead the Premix Plant organization. To lead SHE compliance for the facility.

Provide technical support to customers when required.

Report to General Manager, Animal Nutrition & Health Indonesia

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Key areas of accountability/responsibility

Ensure that operations comply with DNP standards for SHE and quality.

Define develop and manage an efficient and effective operation system and procedures for production and related activities,

Ensure that the management system (including SHE) is in place, maintained, communicated and complied with.

Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses

Ensure that the installation is managed in a technically sound, safe and environmentally acceptable manner, by complying with all DNP requirements and other relevant requirements and best practices.

Control maintenance and repair of factory equipment/machinery and comply with MOC (Management of Change).

Set targets and Key Performance Indicators and ensure adequate management

Reporting of the performance of the plant, in line with DSM Triple P reporting.

Continually analyze plant performance, and continually optimize and improve.

Manage the implementation of innovations and new technologies and manage projects.

Select, manage, coach and develop staff, in line with DSM (HR-) values and HR requirements and procedures.

Propose plan and implement training programs for production staff.

Recruitment of production staff.

Regular communication with regional managers for improvement and implementation.

Comply with DNP software programs such as SAP, Trackwise and the likes…

Comply with local laws regulations.

Ensure SHE documentation is up to date (JSA, MSA, HAZOP Study) and actions closed.

Identify critical positions in the plant and ensure appropriate measures are undertaken to minimize interruptions and downtime.

Issuing instructions to subordinates

Capex and Opex to defined limits

Start/stop work if unsafe

Preparing and issuing various hazardous work permits

Altering/optimizing production process

Recruitment and discipline of staff

Write/approve SOP’s, checklists etc

SAP processes within SOD

Comply and enforce LSR (lifesaving rules)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor Degree.

Knowledge SAP.

Good English preferred.

Relevant tertiary qualifications together with proven expertise in quality systems and experience in a dry or liquid blend manufacturing environment at Supervisor or Management level. Knowledge of SHE, operational safety, plant software application, chemicals and their properties. Experienced in emergency management, budgetary discipline and project management

Minimum 8 years relevant industry experience within a GMP or HACCP regulated environment.

Proven problem solving, trouble shooting and cost reduction record.
