Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Enforcing the HSE requirements, standards and instructions with emphasis on health and safety aspects.

Incorporate HSE instructions in routine orders and see that they are obeyed by all personnel working at the site.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaise with Site HSSE Team and develop a site specific HSE Plan in accordance with the overall HSE Management Plan.

Review and endorse EPC Contractor’s site HSE plans.

Establish and facilitate site safety meetings.

Influence, monitor and coach EPC Contractor and its subcontractors.

Establish and improve leading and trailing safety performance reporting system.

Establish and improve incident reporting system.

Establish and improve site guidance and awareness safety training system.

Establish and improve emergency evacuation plans.

Establish and improve safety initiative programs and procedures.

Periodically monitor construction activities and provide oversight and enforcement of the company’s and regulatory HSE requirements.

Coordinate, administer, and maintain documentation of the HSE program in accordance with the company and regulatory requirements.

Liaise with government bodies and professional organization on HSE matters especially concerning health and safety matters.

Maintain comprehensive record and manage all statutory HSE reporting requirement on health and safety aspect in particular.

Implement QHSE regulation within his/her area of responsibility in order to minimize any possible risk and comply with company and government regulation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree in safety management or engineering (mechanical, instrument, civil, electrical).

Having formal courses in Safety Management.

Minimum 7 years of experience as safety officer on large scale Oil & Gas construction projects.

Experience on site development and marine construction in Oil & Gas preferred.

Possess professional qualifications and technical working knowledge of health and safety requirements for large scale construction projects.

Knowledge of contractor safety plan requirements.

Prudent.

Safety Oriented.

Ability to use judgment and experience to define, analyze and resolve problems and issues.

Proactive safety awareness and strong skills in adeptly working with contractors, trades, and field engineers with an in the field focus.
