Job Description

Our client is one of biggest and most established Construction, Engineering and Property Development companies in Malaysia and the Middle East. The company has been in the business for more than 30 years and is dynamically growing in terms of projects and development.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

To assist the Construction Manager by managing the contractors, primarily on site for installation, testing and commissioning of the AFC/EAC/ITS systems, in compliance with the Employer's Requirements, within budget and on time.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Become recognised as knowledgeable in AFC/EAC/ITS Systems as allocated

Coordinate the Work Package Contractors to fulfil Installation requirements.

Review, comment and ensure finalization of Installation Design, Site Test procedures and Method statements

Attend and arrange all related Testing activities, including installation, PAT, SAT and SIT.

To control and monitor the site works to meet the Key dates and milestone dates.

To ensure completeness of test records for all site works

Assist in coordinating to ensure interface requirements between AFC/EAC/ITS systems work packages and with other systems work package for full compatibility.

Assist in coordinating to ensure interface requirements between AFC/EAC/ITS systems work packages and Civil are resolved and represented in valid coordination installation programmes

To facilitate, monitor and manage WPC works to ensure readiness for Trial running

To ensure the testing and commissioning results of AFC/EAC/ITS systems complies with the Employer's Requirements and ensure all snag lists are properly recorded and action carried out to resolve all snags.

To provide technical support and drive the WPC to provide as built drawings in a timely manner.

To monitor, coordinate, control and report the progress of installation, commissioning and testing of the AFC/EAC/ITS system to meet the approved programme plan, coordinate, witness and resolve issues arising from the site systems test.

To coordinate the hand over inspections for the AFC/EAC/ITS systems for all materials including contract spares.

To provide technical support to the Operator to carry out Trial Operation.

To manage site based issues relating to Defect Liability Period/ Replacement for failed parts.

To ensure and verify all works relating to site works milestone submisions by WPC are complete.

Any other activities, such as coaching the Engineers, updating Progress Registers and creating technical and management project reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Degree in IT/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or other relevant Degree or Diploma.

At least 5 -15 years experience preferable with Design Develop, Configuration, Install, testing and commissioning of large scale systems in railway systems or similar environment.

Effective technical knowledge

Highly motivated, dependable and a team player.

Works well under the pressure of deadlines.
