POSITION DESCRIPTION

Lead the country purchasing unit with full responsibility for sourcing and purchasing of local indirect spend categories and non-strategic raw materials. The aim of the role is to ensure best practice sourcing/purchasing practices in the country, manage the local interfaces with users (e.g., divisional Production/Technology and Supply chain Management and to create value by continuously optimizing purchasing conditions. Secure on-time supplies of products in indirect spend and non-strategic raw materials.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Responsibilities

Leadership of country purchasing units

Builds and manages high performing purchasing organizations at country level with budget responsibility

Actively contributes to creating opportunities for sourcing/purchasing synergies between countries

Ensures compliance with standards, policies and KPIs

Indirect spend sourcing management

Develops/implements sourcing strategies and initiates TCO reduction projects

Negotiates/manages contracts

Develops new/alternative suppliers

Contributes to regional sourcing management by proposing and developing regional sourcing champions

Raw material sourcing management

Develops/implements sourcing strategic for non-strategic raw materials and initiates local TCO reduction projects

Negotiates/manages contracts

Develops new/alternative suppliers and manages claims with (local) suppliers

Supports divisional sourcing teams with product, market and supplier information for strategic products

Overall management responsibilities

Ensures leadership, manages performance of country purchasing

Ensures people development in country purchasing units; propose candidates for international rotations

Ensures effective interfaces with divisional and group functions

Evaluates and implements best practices to improve/automize purchasing processes

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

English

Strong in Raw material as well as indirect spends.

Strong sourcing activity (finds alternative materials/suppliers, define strategy for local materials, idea for cost savings, adapt the procurement procedure into local organization, etc.)
