Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Assist the commissioning and startup of plant executing the operation activities of LNG plant operation from Main Control Room under the supervision of EPC contractor.

Post-handover: Responsible to monitor, control and manage activities of LNG plant operation from Main Control Room to ensure LNG process and equipment operate in safe, efficient and reliable manner meeting Process Safety requirements and target production requirements

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose, trouble shoot and make corrective actions from Main Control Room Panel to ensure the process and equipment are operated within controlled operating envelop as guided in Operations Procedures, Standing Orders and Work Instructions;

Ensure preventive measures pertaining to Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) under his of supervision is understood and mitigation measures are in place in case of LOPC;

Liaise with the laboratory to obtain sample results and adjust the process operating parameters to meet product specification and operating envelop;

Maintain a thorough knowledge of operational status of the plant and equipment in his area of supervision by document all abnormal operating parameters in the logbooks, shift change log and other communication tools provided;

Acknowledge signed clearance certificates and monitor the satisfactory completion of the job;

Lead the startup, shutdown of plant equipment based on Operating Procedures and operating knowledge through coordination and alignment with field operators;

In emergency situation, to direct field operators to restore safe plant operations;

Assist training supervisor in training and development of operator trainees

Implement QHSE regulation within his/her area of responsibility in order to minimize any possible risk and comply with company and government regulation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Senior/ Experienced Operators: Technical College or equivalent with minimum 10 years operator experience in hydrocarbon industry of which 5 years as panel operator in the LNG Plant.

Have strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate fluently in English;

Good writing skills, able to write report and update operating procedure and work instruction;

Ability to coach trainee operators

Experience in LNG plant panel operation and LNG/Petrochemical complex as field operator;

Knowledge in LNG processing, gas turbine, power generation, compressors operation, LNG storage and loading operations is essential;

Able to contribute to HAZOP, risk assessment and understand barriers required to mitigate risks
