Job Description

On behalf of a global client we are seeking an expert in Injection Molding to work on a part time, consultancy basis In China. The work is project focused and expected to amount to 3 months work in any given year. The client will pay consultancy fees and all travel and accommodation costs. The role may suit a freelancer or a recent retiree or someone who like to work to their own schedule. The role can accommodate someone who wishes to work on a “fly-in/fly-out” basis.

The role requires extensive experience as a molding engineer. Applicants should be proficient in automobile electronic connector of the injection mold design, adjusting and optimizing process parameters, and measurements analysis of injection molding products and also familiar with injection molding engineering materials (PA6, PA66 PBT, PPS POM). Extensive knowledge in the aspects of design, engineering, surveying, comprehensive solving for plastic products of injection molding imbalance (instability problems such as size and cavities) is also expected. An ability to consult, train and share knowledge would be advantageous as is patience and persistence as the role will require heavy interaction with individuals for whom English is not their primary language.

Complete team of 40 – 50 engineers (process, design, production, etc..)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal with all issues regarding injection molding (quality, capacity, etc…)

Improve the process of the production line

Help design and implement new mold to increase production

Mentoring local team(s)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

At least 12 years experience as a molding engineer

Proficient in automobile electronic connector of the injection mold design, adjusting and optimizing process parameters, measurements analysis of injection molding products

Familiar with injection molding engineering materials (PA6, PA66 PBT, PPS POM)

Extensive knowledge in the aspects of design, engineering, surveying, comprehensive solving for plastic products of injection molding imbalance (instability problems such as size and cavities)

Ability to make objective and fair evaluation

Facilitate the responsibility department to better coordination work

Deep understanding of measurement systems

Rich experience of DOE

Good English level required
