Job Description
A leading multinational company in the brewing industry is currently having a vacancy for senior manager level to lead their logistics team nationwide
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The National Logistics Manager will report directly to Supply Chain Director, supervise Logistics Manager and Transport Officers and also indirectly supervise Warehouse Managers.
They will develop and ensure the implementation of an operational logistic plan for OpCo, in line with local, Group supply chain plans, in order to drive customer service and logistics performance and continues performance improvement against minimal costs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the logistics function within the company for both warehousing as transportation
Define and implement the logistics strategy in line with the company business strategy and HO - Global Logistics Strategy, to achieve optimal performance in terms of cost, quality, customer service, people and organization and social responsibility.
To lead the department to incorporate customer needs and the company commercial strategy within logistics processes and decisions.
To effectively incorporate the financial impact of strategic, tactical and operational decisions in all logistics areas.
Ensure and coordinate budget and monthly cost control for variable and fixed cost.
Tender the outsourced services regularly and manage and monitor the execution of the contracts with LSP to guarantee the required level of service and cost, in line with the defined logistics strategy
Execute all logistics activities according to plan, monitor variations and react in a timely and effective way.
Ensure/drive compliance on all company SHE standards and local regulations. Embed APB and the company sustainability agenda within all logistics processes and decisions.
To report logistics performance and improvements in a clear and comprehensive way, to support decision making.
Lead the department and manage a team of people including recruitment, performance management and (career & personal)development
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
University graduates from Economics, Finance, or Engineering major
Minimum 5-7 years managerial experience in logistics in both transport and warehousing
Experience in Total Productive Management will be an advantage
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with high accuracy
Hands-on and proactive mentality with high integrity
