Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Director to join a exemplary company in their Shanghai office. Our client is one of the largest independent companies in the world engaged in the development of technology for passenger cars, trucks and large engines.

Worldwide presence and a strong position in Europe and Asia

With the objectives to increase its market share in China and put in place their strategy for the next few years, the company is looking for a Finance Director in Shanghai to help reach its goals and be the direct liaison with the headquarters in Germany.

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day operations and company’s finance and accounting matters including financial/management reporting, financial / business planning & analysis, variances analysis, budgeting, cash flow and receivables management, related contracts/quotations review and all the functional related matters

Review and examine financial and operational data and advise management on opportunity of costs reduction and revenue enhancement

Monitor revenue, operating cost, overhead and asset in PRC

Communication with banks and government authorities

Preparation of Executive and Supervisory Board reports

Draft business plans & budgets

Tax optimization on a national and international level

Negotiate & support service contracts  

Other tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirements & Technical Competencies

MBA degree

Related educational background

8+ years controlling or auditing working experience in international companies, 5+ years in leadership position

Experience in financial business forecasting and cost accounting

Good capability in cost controlling and cash flow analysis

Reliable and rational thinking

Good MS Office skills (especially Excel)

Fluent in English, German would be a big plus

Experience in manufacture industry appreciated

Leadership skills strongly appreciated

Be able to adapt quickly to a new environment and work with both Foreign and Chinese staff

Expert in the use of SAP
