Job Description

Our client is a leading global machine tools manufacturer with a presence of over 90 sales and service locations worldwide, supplying an extensive range of products and services. They have a vast range of products in the area of turning technology, milling technology, automation, pre-setters to software, just to name a few.

Our client also provides the most extensive services in lifecycle, spare parts, spindle, training, reconditioning, financing and maintenance. Due to an expansion of their operations within South East Asia, they are inviting a professional with knowledge and experience in technical services for machine/cutting machine tools to join them in their Singapore office for the following opportunity.


This role's focus is on creating new business. He/she therefore manages both internal and external different international contacts/networks related to existing segments and technologies.


Promote and sell the full range of our client and our client products, supplies and services within a defined geographic area

Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing KPIs

Take active lead in developing new business opportunities from lead generation through delivery

Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities

Continuously analyzing the industry and the market to acquires new customers for the assigned area

Deliver budgeted sales revenues and profit contribution

Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle and beyond

MIS (customer relationship & Marketing system) data management, tracking/ reporting of daily activities

Follow and enhance the sales process

Closely cooperate with our factories, internal sales and service departments

Work within the internal sales, factories and other departments for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Continuously observe market development and trends

Present the Company at exhibitions and open houses

Responsible for continuously tracking / reporting of customer information, forecasts , hot projects


Academic Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering or adequate experience within the machine tool industry

At least 5 years’ relevant sales experience (B2B) in a global company

At least 3 years’ work experience in the machine tool industry or related industry

Excellent knowledge of business principles and practice

Excellent knowledge of marketing principles and practice

Strong sales and technical understanding with a proven track record for new business wins, account retention, development and growth

Relevant product knowledge (CNC machines), knowledge of Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc and /or Mitsubishi control systems would be a plus

Existing network in the machine tools and related industry

Consultative / aggressive selling skills and executive presence to influence decision makers

Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Stable background and looking for long-term employment

Possess valid driving license

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Lotus Notes

Willingness to travel on a frequently base
