Job Description

Our Client, a listed company specializing in the production of specialty materials is seeking to engage the services of CFO. The client has recently entered a new stage of development and as such now has two primary shareholders. Our client being one of those shareholders will be the partner making this appointment.


The right individual shall have a demonstrated track record of success managing the finance for business with sales revenues in excess of US$150MM per annum and will have preferably lead financial operations within listed, WOFE and Sino Joint Venture businesses. The right candidate will be experienced in managing complex business relationships be adept at providing a business environment based on transparency and commitment to ensuring that our client’s interests are at all times protected.


Overall responsible for accounting, financial, business control and capital management.

Together with the management team, accountable for business performance, profitability, and working capital management.

Accountable for long term financing strategy.

Accountable for CAPEX expenditures and ensure compliance per board approval.

Accountable for on-time, reliable, high quality statutory, tax, customs and management reporting that are in compliance with local legislation as well as corporation guidelines.

Accountable for the development of financial accounting & business control function /organization and people (e.g. knowledge sharing, training).

Continuous process improvements in financial and accounting related areas.

Ensure management adherence and comply with proper corporate governance.


Accounting related

Ensure payment accuracy of all invoices and meet PRC tax regulation.

Check bank reconciliation statement and ensure no fraud of bank transactions.

Ensure all accounting records are correctly & timely maintained in financial system.

Ensure high quality on time submission of management reports with variance and profitability analysis to management and JV partners.

Responsible for the preparation of yearly budget, quarterly forecast with contribution from management team.

Liaise with external auditors, tax bureau for annual audit of the company.

Take charge of tax return on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Take charge of company annual renewal of business licenses & related updated and adhered to Chinese law.

Ensure accounting and tax records in compliance with Corporate and local rules and regulations (corporate manual, accounting manual, local legislation, directives, etc.).

Assist the Chairman to prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.

To set up, maintain and develop routines and processes on internal control.

Capital management

Relationship management with relevant financial institutions.

Working capital management and CAPEX management;

Ensure the Group has a long term financing strategy that supports the Company’s long term development.

Financial and business control

Financial capacity and cost control.

Review and approve expense and payment request; including CAPEX.

Initiate, stimulate and implement actions plans that improve company profitability.

To support ad hoc projects (e.g. M&A projects) and arranging and participating in Monthly Review meeting.


Supervise, lead and build the accounting team, ensures good talent reservation & backup system.

Coordinate the relationship with Tax, Custom, SAFE and etc.

Hold the company licenses and Board resolutions etc.

Other ad-hoc tasks distributed by superiors

Professional Certifications:

Excellent academic and CPA or equivalent qualifications; demonstrated business acumen and negotiation skills
