POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Senior Project Engineer reports direct and work with the Project Manager to executive the projects according to the strict deadlines given and ensuring budgets are kept in check. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of the technical core team, project team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the plan.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Accountabilities:
Manage each step of projects’ implementation process
Organize and perform actions necessary for projects’ development, including but not limited to:
Coordination of project materials and research
Organization of project files, assistance with handling specific tasks to team members
Day to day interaction and correspondence with external bodies, such as federal and commercial organizations, authorities and agencies
Organization of meetings; internal and external resources
Preparation of presentations and other materials for the meetings
Organize and participate actively in all necessary status meetings weekly and monthly
Keeping and reporting minutes of the meetings
Drafting letters to external parties
Generate and maintain projects’ schedules
Coordinate actions of projects’ team members to implement project plans in accordance with its schedule, including but not limited to:
Following up with every member of project team on a daily basis
Getting updates on statuses of different procedures
Following up on due dates
Organizing project activities depending on deadline requirements
Organizing and updating project paperwork, analyzing materials/monitoring feedbacks; prioritize and communicate goals
In-time periodical reporting
Keep Project Manager and technical core team aware of progress of projects’ implementation and the development/deployment of the process, initiate proper and in-time escalation; raising concerns as quickly as possible
Maintain the list of needs and retain purchase order and invoices for project materials
Direct support of GM
Frequent domestic travelling is necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualification:
Bachelors/Masters of Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or other relevant discipline
Experience & Technical Competencies:
Extensive significant years of working experience in the Extraction and Mineral Processing (cement, steel, mining etc) sector within MNC business environments
Several years of project management experience is required
Proven track record demonstrating competency in execution of multiple large projects, developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business issues
General knowledge of investment practices
In-depth understanding of local business culture including administrative processes
