This position is created to:

Protect the company’s right to operate by providing continuous Government Affairs support advocating issue that impacts our ability to operate in Indonesia.

Engage with political, government officials, and key influencers to build relationships and thought leadership position.

Increase and maintain competitiveness

Appropriately build the company and protect brand in Indonesia via media relations, external communication, publicity, and contribution programs.

Plan and execute external communication program with stakeholders to support branding program.

Protect the company brand via crisis communication and issue management.

Execute internal communication program to support country strategy and employee communication program.


Develop and execute Government Affairs strategy

Act as the face of the company to governments and local trade associations

Meet and establish relationships with key high level government officials as well as working levels

Advocate for the company and industry positions with appropriate government officials

Work in close collaboration with geographic and business leaders to take advantage of building the company brand and advancing business priorities

Understand how regulatory and policy trends can lead to business opportunities

Establish and maintain relationships with industry associations and other stakeholder groups. Represents the company in Industry associations.

Use these relationships to open doors and secure meetings between the company leaders and high level government officials

Develop country advocacy strategies on specific issues of importance to the company

Develop and maintain expertise and insights on government developments

Identify and report on political and policy trends

Develop briefing material for the company leaders

Train the company leaders on workings and nuances of governments

Develop and execute Public Affairs strategy and plan (Media relations, employee communications, branding, community relations, contribution programs, etc.)

Lead contribution committee

Act as a brand ambassador and company spokesperson

Manage relationships with PR agency


Bachelor degree in political sciences, engineering, sciences or related fields

Minimum 10 years experiences in government affairs in related industries

Strong communication skills & fluent in the English language

Ability to travel between the company offices

Able to build relationships externally & internally.

Strong business acumen.

Ability to lead and be a member of cross functional/business issue teams.

Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with an ability to get results under tight deadlines.

Understand the way Government and Media operates.
